Purpose of the Event

To explore strategy and solutions for how to best serve at risk youth and families in order that we continue to have a thriving community

Who Should Attend

  • Youth - In order to have a conversation about how to best serve youth, we need young people present!  Youth are encouraged to attend the event.
  • Parents and Guardians - This event is an opportunity for family leaders to express their ideas, needs, and concerns to each other and to community leaders.  This is an opportunity to see what resources are available for themselves and their families.
  • People in Need - Individuals struggling with financial difficulties, family stress, parenting challenges or other issues are invited to attend and participate in the conversation.
  • Educators (Teachers, Administrators, Support Staff) - Teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, and other school-based professionals have a front seat to the issues and opportunities related to serving at risk youth and families.
  • Youth Services Leaders - Leaders from programs serving youth - any program serving youth - are invited.  From the Boy and Girl Scouts, to Big Brothers Big Sisters, to the Children's Museum, to faith-based youth programs, to athletic leagues and teams, the directors, coaches, volunteers and program administrators have an important role in this conversation.
  • Family Services Leaders - Private, nonprofit, and governmental professionals engaged in serving youth and families with resources, support services, and more will find an opportunity to explain their services, explore partnerships with other providers, and share their knowledge and expertise.
  • Religious Leaders - Churches, synagogues, and temples with programs serving youth and families have an important role in this conversation.
  • Elected Leaders - Elected leaders have an opportunity to hear directly from constituents in a comfortable atmosphere that allows them to be an equal participant with attendees.
  • Law Enforcement & Attorneys - Police officers, the RUSH Gang Task Force, prosecutors, defense attorneys, probation and parole officers, and other professionals in the justice system have unique insight into the symptoms, causes, and results of challenged youth and families.
